Snow Egret Landing
Each spring I try to make it up to the marshes in Maine before the season explosion of tourists to photograph waterfowl. This image of a snowy egret landing on a hammock on a freshwater pool was the result of one of these spring excursions. Snowy egrets are such graceful birds whether in flight, foraging for food or landing as in this image. They are one of several favorite New England waterfowl for me.
