Cape Porpoise Fish House
Late day winter sun illuminates the side of this landmark fish house. Located at the head of Cape Porpoise Harbor, a fish house has had its feet on these muddy grounds for decades, harkening back to simpler time when lobster and fishing boats would come up and unload the days catch on the cantilevered dock. The original fish house was lost in a storm in the 1990's. This "restoration" was built in 2016 on the same site. I read it is still used today as a place for lobster and fisherman to repair traps and equipment as well as rest after a long days work.
