Sunrise Stroll

Long Sands Beach, York, Maine

When I was leaving Nubble Lighthouse/Cape Neddick Tuesday morning I decided to take the “slow” way back home and drive along the beach road. Mid-summer this can be a rather serious mistake. But in mid-February, not a problem, especially if done before 7am. As I was driving south the blazing orange sun came over horizon and was starting to create some nice tones where the waves retreat to the deeper waters. By the time I turned the car around, got out and found my composition the sun had retreated behind the low clouds but was still reflecting some nice colors on the shallow water. This couple walking their dog added the finishing touch.
