Suncook Lake Sunset
It is rare to see Suncook Lake with no visible boats on a night with a great sunset. Perhaps the overcast sky throughout the day kept everyone inside after dinner. Whatever the reason, it worked well for me. The subtle colors in the sky as the sun sunk into the mountains mixed with the texture of the clouds and the lack of rough water excited my soul.
This is a combination of a two images. The sky was shot normally. I then attached a 10 stop neutral density filter to the lens to cut down the amount of light the camera was sensing and took a long shot for the wat. This long exposure smoothed out the appearance of the water surface giving it a mirror-like appearance.
