The Colors of Spring - Tree Line
The long wait of winter was finally over and I was out once again attempting to do the near impossible - capture an image of swallows in flight using a thirteen-pound 600mm lens in close range. That is when I noticed the cirrus clouds floating over the tree line. The bright greens of newly opening leaves against the warm, blue sky with wispy clouds was a sure sign that winter had finally released its grasp on New Hampshire.
Hendricks Head Beach at Sunset
Unless you are a local, you almost certainly need to know where you are going to get to this beach. The narrow road coming into this area is crowded with overhanging trees and shrubs kissing the edge of the road. But once you arrive, a classic Maine coastal scene unfolds before you.
Sunset on Schoolhouse Bay
A warm July sun sets the sky ablaze with color, tinting the waters and highlighting the seaweed clinging to the submerged rocks. And thank goodness it was warm, for in order to get this shot, I had to stand in waist-deep water, find secure footing for my tripod and then affix my most expensive camera to its ball head and wait for the perfect moment to present itself. And I think I found it.

Each poster is printed to order, signed with an acid-free pen, and then wrapped in a protective layer of paper and shipped to your door in a mailing tube. Shipping is included in the price if you live in the lower 48 Unitied States. All other destinations could result in an additional charge to cover the increased shipping expense.
Frisky Hill Sunset
Nothing beats those mornings when you wake up early without an alarm, pour yourself a mug of coffee and wander to the nearest high spot to watch the sunrise. The peace and tranquility you experience is priceless. This scene was predictable. I knew a mid-autumn hurricane was approaching by mid-day, which meant there was a good chance the sun and the clouds would be competing to set the tone for the morning.
Sunset from Ferry Beach
Maine's Ferry Beach is a long stretch of pristine sand arching along the shore of the Nonesuch River where it meets the Atlantic Ocean. This is a working cove where several fishing and lobster boats have their moorings. One of the locals stopped by to chat with me as I was waiting for the light and pointed out something quite unusual about this scene.
