Passing Storm
It is hard to believe it has been ten years since this image was taken in Gilmanton, NH. I remember climbing up into the pasture while on my way home from work, wearing nothing more than some hiking boots. The snow was leaking down around my angle, melting and soaking my socks and feet. I would love to see this sky return this winter so I may retake this shot with a better camera and more post-processing knowledge.
A lot has changed in these ten years. I shot this with a 12-megapixel Canon T2i camera, stitching together several shots to get the panorama. Today I should with a 50-megapixel Nikon. Ten years ago I had the two basic kit lenses the camera came with. Today I have more lenses than can be carried in my camera bag. Back then I thought I was broke. Today, I can certify I am broke, but camera rich ;).
I would love to see this sky return this winter so I may retake this shot with a better camera and more post-processing knowledge.
