The Silence of a New Fallen Snow

December 26, 2021 we awoke to a covering of ice and snow.  As dangerous as this can be, it is also a time of beauty and solitude. It's a bit of a conflict for me; I do not like winter but I love a winter storm.  A fresh snow not only whitens the landscape, but it also absorbs the sounds around us leaving a welcomed silence.
