My cloud prediction software indicated high cloud cover and little to now low clouds that could block out the sun at sunrise. I should have also checked the wind predictions. When I exited the car, the wind almost pulled the door from my hand. Once I climbed down below the parking lot the ledge between the parking lot and the water blocked most of the wind. That same wind also blew the low clouds in from the northwest earlier than the software had predicted and threatened to completely wipe out the chance for any color. Still, not a bad sunrise.
