The Dead of Winter
A freshly fallen snow hung on the trees and landscape, and continued to fall at the time of this capture. Were it not for the patina on several of the older tombstones, you might think this was a black and white print.
This is the Smith Meetinghouse Cemetery in central New Hampshire. The bleakness of the winter colors is reminiscent of the old, western movies with the rustic burial grounds frequently known as "Boot Hill."
This image above is a full color image. It is also available as a monochrome image and as a “hybrid” color image where I converted this to back and white and then brought in a minimal amount of the patina color.
