Black River Estuary

One of my favorite places to bring the RV and photograph birds. On maps this is simply called the Black River. But it is more than just a river. It's a brackish backwater that experiences tidal changes and is home to many species of shorebirds. During the summer months this area hosts bald eagles, herons, egrets as well as several smaller species of bird. This particular image was taken in October when the sea grasses turn a golden yellow and the vacationers population begins to decrease.
