Almost Perfect Rose

There is nothing like a classic, red rose ready to open and spread it’s joy to the world. This rose was photographed on a recent trip to the Fuller Gardens in North Hampton, New Hampshire. It was late in the day and this bed was growing in the late afternoon shade of a maple tree. The dappled sun light was illuminating the rose almost perfectly while leaving the ground in shade.

If you have never been to Fuller Gardens, check out their website (https://fullergardens.org/). It is not a massive garden but it is well worth the entry fee if you can hit it in the early summer blooming season.
